Significance of autograph (very rare):
These Amazin’ Mets took New York by storm, and with the exception of the first man to land on the moon in the summer of ’69, there was no bigger story in America.

What makes these autographs so special is not only that these players played for the Mets in ’69, but their stories, including Jerry Koosman, who won this historic game, are baseball lore.

There have been many Mets since, and surely more great ones to come, but the 1962 & 1969 Mets (these ’69 eight autographs and others) … will always be ‘THE METS’.
