Wilhelm was quite a guy and a ballplayer as well. Purple Heart recipient, didn’t make it to the majors till he was 28, won the Cy Young Award as a starter, and made it to the HOF as a reliever … at that time he had appeared as a pitcher in more games than any other pitcher in MLB history. By anyone’s standards, a treasured autograph. Add Gene Conley’s signature; he had played in the NBA & MLB at one point in the same year(s) … it’s a pretty cool signed card.
